REVIEW: Vehicle Access Ladders
24/06/2014
Time for another product review here at Browns! This week, we’re taking a closer look at sturdy vehicle access ladders by leading brand Chase Manufacturing. We’ll also be outlining some Health and Safety training to complement this product, so read on to find out more…
Making loading and unloading quick, easy and safe
Chase Manufacturing’s vehicle access ladders offer workers a safe and easy way to access the loading bed of large goods vehicles.
Designed to clamp securely on to the back of goods vehicles, these adjustable ladders offer a safer alternative to accessing goods vehicles than conventional leaning ladders. When positioned against the back of a vehicle, these access ladders are designed to minimise movement and provide your staff with a comfortable working angle, making loading and unloading as easy as possible. There’s also a folding hand post which extends a metre above trailer bed height, for extra stability.
As an industrial-quality ladder with flat treads, our vehicle access ladder is manufactured from hard-wearing but light-weight aluminium. It has a generous safe working load of 175kg and can be stored away compactly when not in use – either in the vehicle itself or in a location on site.
Available in six- and seven-tread models, the vehicle access ladder from Chase Manufacturing is a “low fatigue” product, featuring 80mm deep treads for maximum comfort when in use. All in all, this is a sturdy piece of access equipment that’s designed to make life easier – and safer – for your staff.
Considering buying vehicle access ladders? Invest in some training, too…
While using the quality and well-suited equipment will go a long way towards keeping your staff safe on the job, it’s important to invest in training as well.
If your staff are charged with loading and unloading vehicles at work, you’ll need to protect them with some Manual Handling training, which will enable them to shift, lift and transport goods without risking injury to themselves or their colleagues. Here at Browns Ladders, we offer a four-hour Manual Handling training course that will keep your staff covered for three years – enquire today to find out more.
And because our Manual Handling training course takes just four hours, many of our customers like to pair it up with another of our safety courses – our Working At Heights training course, which also takes just four hours, is a popular pick.
Working at height courses are an ideal investment if your staff will be using access equipment like ladders. Like most of our Health and Safety training schemes, our Working At Heights training course can be delivered to up to 12 delegates at a time.
