Our top five work platforms
22/08/2016
Work platforms are one of the must-have access solutions in every trade. Offering that extra boost when you need it most, our work platforms help ensure safety when you’re working from low-level heights. With a variety of models available for different trades, working conditions, and requirements, we thought we’d give you a run down of our top five…
1. Werner Aluminium Low Level Work Platforms
This entry-level model is affordable, robust and an excellent choice for all those odd jobs. Suitable for homeowners or your workshop, the Werner Aluminium Low Level Work Platform offers that boost you need and is suitable for professional use too.
The platform offers a boost of 0.5m and comes in two different sizes. While both models are 0.3m wide, the smaller model offers a length of 0.69m and the larger a length of 0.9m.

2. Chase Hopstar Folding Work Platform
If you’re looking for something to use on a more regular basis, we recommend our Chase Hopstar Folding Work Platform. Although it features a relatively simple design, like the Werner model, it is made from high quality industrial strength aluminium and takes a maximum loading of 175kg as opposed to 150kg. Ideal for painters, decorators and any other tradesperson, it’s easy to set up and easy to fold down – making it convenient for day-to-day work.
The Hopstar is available in one size only with a platform height of 1150mm. A handrail is also available, as an extra, for added safety.

3. Bratts B-Dek Work Platform
The Bratts Work Platform is the last of the small platforms to feature in our top five. What sets this platform apart from the others is its glass-fibre construction. This makes it suitable for working around electricity – so it’s an ideal choice for gas engineers and any other tradesperson working around electrical elements.
The B-Dek is available in one size – 600mm long, 340mm wide, and 450mm high.
